Steel City Vets. (http://steelcityvets.org/) This organization is a grassroots post-9/11 veteran support group designed and run by post-9/11 veterans. They work with many local and national groups to help provide returning veterans with the needed support they need with employment, peer support, and service projects.
PAServes. (https://pittsburgh.americaserves.org/) Services coordinated include applying for VA benefits, Education, Financial Assistance, Healthcare, Housing, Legal, Social Activities/Meeting Fellow Vets, Mentoring, Sports & Fitness, and Spouse and Family Support. Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania. (http://www.vlpwpa.org/) This organization strives to fulfill their mission of providing Veterans and their families with housing, employment and supportive services, regardless of era of war, Veterans Affairs (VA) eligibility or discharge status. The Service Coordinators work one-on-one with Veterans to assess their situation and to create goals that lead to self-sufficiency and financial sustainability.
Wounded Warrior Project.
